About Laura Blake
Laura comes to Eucalyptus Psychology with a background in psychology, administration, and education. She has an extensive career as an educator and teacher but has also worked in large psychology practices as a trauma coordinator and practice manager. In particular, Laura loves helping children and families. She has a keen interest in therapy and is currently training to be a psychologist.
As a practice director, she is looking forward to warmly welcoming you to the practice, booking your sessions, taking your calls, and helping you find the best services to help you.
When she is not working at the clinic, Laura is busy reading, traveling, baking, and attempting to learn the piano and Italian.
Background
Laura completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Master of Teaching (Primary) while working in psychology clinics and Employee Assistance Programs as a trauma coordinator and practice manager. She is currently undertaking postgraduate studies at Monash University in psychology to gain registration as a clinical psychologist.
Laura has worked as a teacher in several private and public schools across Melbourne and has won several awards for her work with young people. She has also worked as an educational consultant for several tertiary institutions, including co-ordinating a large-scale NHMRC government funded clinical psychology trial at the University of Melbourne which focussed on helping young people with mental health problems.
Laura has published extensively in clinical psychology journals. In particular, Laura is passionate about using evidence-based practice to help children, adolescents, and adults in education and mental health.
