About Tess Holt
Tess offers a person-centred and collaborative approach to therapy and draws primarily on evidence-based trauma-informed therapeutic modalities including Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Schema Therapy, and Somatic techniques. She also incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-based therapeutic approaches into her work.
Background
Tess holds a Master of Clinical Psychology from The Cairnmillar Institute and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Deakin University. She has worked across various public health settings, including mental health community and acute medical inpatient services.
Tess has experience conducting psychological assessments, brief psychological interventions, and offering individualised therapy to clients with a range of presentations. She has also engaged in ongoing professional development in areas such as EMDR, eating disorder management, and somatic approaches, and is committed to ongoing learning and development to enhance her clinical skills and provide the best possible care to her clients.
